Stefan Gavrilović was born in 1995 in Leskovac. He started his music education at the age of eight at the Primary Music School “Stanislav Binički” where he played piano, and at the age of nine, he continued his music education playing cello at the School for Music Talents at Ćuprija where he has completed his primary and secondary music education in the class of Prof. Boža Saramandić. He has obtained numerous prizes at national and international competitions as soloist and member of chamber ensembles. Stefan has completed his undergraduate and master studies with highest grades at the Faculty of Music Art at Belgrade in the class of Prof. Dragan Djordjević.

He has attended numerous master classes of renowned cellists (Leonid Gorokhov, Iustus Grim, Denis Severin, Sandra Belić, Vanja Kučer, Daniel Geiss…) as well as orchestral academies of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra (Philhacademy) and also orchestral academy “Branimir Slokar” at Ljubljana.

He has participated at the festivals such as BEMUS, NIMUS, Bolshoi Festival, Moers Jazz Festival (Germany), Brixen Classic Festival (Italy), Neerpelt Music Festival (Belgium), Maribor Festival (Slovenia).

As orchestra performer, he has cooperated with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, RTS Orchestra, Montenegro Symphony Orchestra, Belgrade New Opera, Symphony Orchestra “Makris”, Jewish Chamber Orchestra, String Quartet “Saint George”, Chamber Orchestra “Metamorphosis”, Belgrade Symphonists, New International Orchestra at Munich, International Orchestra “Branimir Slokar” at Ljubljana, Bolshoi Festival Orchestra, Orchestra “Brixen Classic” in Italy, World Orchestra from Rome, Chamber Orchestra “Musicon”, “No Borders Orchestra”.

As a cello teacher, he has worked at music schools “Vatroslav Lisinski” and “Kosta Manojlović” at Belgrade. As teacher and soloist, he participated at the festival Brixen Classic in Italy.

He is a member of the Chamber Orchestra “Belgrade Chamber Orchestra” and Chamber Orchestra “Musicon”. Since 2021, he has firstly worked as a practical class teacher and since 2022, he has been working as a very successful cello teacher at the School for Music Talents at Ćuprija.
